To whom it may concern;

Santa Claus. The Easter Bunny. The Tooth Fairy.

When you're born into Western civilization, you're read into a bunch of little white lies that make your life happier and more comfortable. We can afford it. You grow out of it, anyway.

But there are some lies that most people never grow out of. Some lies are so comfortable and easy that you begin to repeat them to yourself when you know better. Middle class lies. You adopt them and make them your own. Because the world is easier to see in black and white dichotomies. It's easy to believe that you live in a world where you can fight for fairness, the Bill of Rights is meaningful, and your vote matters. You're a useful idiot.

You already know it's not that simple. Maybe you read a conspiracy theory or two, but it's not that simple either. The world is shades of grey. There is no right or wrong. Suffering is directed, not eliminated. If you're tired of lying to yourself, then open this book.

The social contract that created those lies is breaking down. It's no longer happier and more comfortable. Now, it's exploitative. The only war is the class war. Everything else you see around you is a distraction. Don't be mad; just don't be poor.
